The Roulette game was invented in Europe in the 17th century, over 300
years ago, which makes it the oldest casino game still being played.
For centuries the patrons of casinos the world over have been
fascinated by this game. The Roulette wheel is divided into 37
segments on the 'French wheel' (or 'European Wheel') and 38 on the
'American wheel' (our casino has the European Roulette, which has one
zero). These are numbered 1-36 with a single zero on the French
Roulette and a double zero on the American Roulette. The segments are
colored red and black alternately, starting with the red number one.
The zero and the double zero segments are both colored green. A ball
is flicked in a clockwise direction around the outer rim of the
Roulette wheel, which is spinning in a counterclockwise direction. The
object of the game is to bet on the number on which the ball will
eventually land.
Numbers that match those on the wheel are arranged on the Roulette
table in 3 columns of 12 numbers. Your stake is placed on the table
and is considered either an outside bet or an inside bet.
The BeTheDealer Roulette is unique in that you can choose to play
with other live players just like in a real casino. We feature private
as well as public tables. On a public table there are up to two
players simultaneously - one player plays as the "Dealer" and the
other plays as the "Player". On a private table you play alone against
a System dealer. In short, you may choose to play against a System
dealer, or you may choose to play against a Real player, with whom you
can switch roles as either Dealer or as Player. In the Roulette game
the player places a bet on a number, color, odds or a group of numbers
on the Roulette table. The Roulette ball is spun, and winnings are
determined by the slot on the Roulette wheel where the ball makes a
final stop. The amount of the payoff depends on how the bet was
placed.
Playing the BeTheDealer Roulette game is very simple. The table is
identical to those found in casinos around the world. Our Roulette
table is marked with the numbers "0" and "1-36" (we do not have a
"00"). The numbers are alternately colored red and black with "0"
colored green. The player begins by clicking and placing chips on the
desired areas on the table. Every betting option (either an Inside Bet
or an Outside Bet) is highlighted when the mouse cursor is on it.
Once the 'Spin' button has been pressed the wheel is spun and when
the ball falls on a number - winnings are automatically added to your
bankroll.
Inside Bets
Straight Up
You can bet on any number on the table (1-36, 0) by placing a chip on
it. Winning bets are paid at 35 to 1. If the ball lands on the 0, all
bets are lost with the exception of those straight bets placed on the
0.
Split (2 Number Bet)

line between them. If the ball lands on either number, you win. The
odds are 17 to 1.
Street Bet or Row Bet (3 Number Bet)
A bet can be made on any three numbers in a row across the table by
placing a chip on the outer line of that row. If the ball lands on any

on the corner, where all four numbers meet. A winning bet is paid out
at 8 to 1.

This bet is placed on the outside line, between two rows, covering six
numbers. The bet is won if the ball lands on any of these six numbers.
The payout is 6 to 1.

clustered together on the wheel, for example 20, 14, 31, 9 and 22.

Playing as Dealer
Online Casino Dealer Casino offers you the unique option of playing
the role of the Dealer. This option increases your chances of winning,
since you gain some of the favorable odds reserved for the casino. At
the end of every round the casino takes a commission of 1.5% of the
total bets bet against the Dealer.
Example
A Dealer chooses to play in Table II. This means that the Dealer meets
the minimum requirements for playing in this table type: a minimum of
850 Credit Points and a minimum balance of $360. The system then
matches a Player to the Dealer and after the Dealer 'Approves' the
next round, the Player places his/her bets on the table. Let's say the
Player places $1 on "14", $5 on "23", $5 on the corner of
"16,17,19,20" and $5 on "Red" for a total bet of $16. The Player spins
the roulette and the number "7" comes out. The Player loses $11 on his
inside number bets and wins $5 on his outside bet, since "7" is Red.
All in all, the Player loses 11-5 = $6. Since the total bet against
the Dealer was $16, the casino takes a commission of 1.5%*16 = $0.24,
which means the Dealer wins 6-0.24 = $5.76 on this round. The casino's
edge over the player in Roulette is 2.7% (bear in mind that this 2.7%
is how the casino makes a profit on the Roulette) so as the Dealer you
actually gain an edge of 1.2%.
Minimum Credit Points and Balance
You can play as Dealer once you have accumulated enough Credit Points
and in addition you need to have enough money in your Balance,
according to the game's limits described in the Game Options page.
The Minimum Balance required is a bit higher than the total
winnings of the Player in a given round, which are: 2 * (Maximum Bet
outside) + 156 * (Maximum Bet inside, per cell) + (Casino commission =
1.5%) *[ (Maximum Bet outside) + 12 * (Maximum Bet inside, per cell) ]
Game Options
" Approve" Button / 'Auto-Approve' Feature
When playing as Dealer, before each round commences you must 'Approve'
the next round. After you approve the round, the Player can place
his/her bets and play the round. The 'Auto-Approve' feature lets you
automatically approve the next rounds, without having to approve every
round individually.
Disconnections
Communication problems over the Internet may cause sudden
disconnections. We have designed our software to cope with such
incidents in a manner that our clients will be protected from
unjustifiable loss, while eliminating the possibility of intentional
disconnections and/or system abuse.
Should a disconnection occur after the Dealer pressed the 'Approve'
button, play will continue until the Player has finished his turn.
This has no effect on the Dealer, since the Dealer is played
automatically according to the rules of the game.
After connection is re-established the Dealer can enter the
"History" page and see the results of the last round ("History" is
available for Money mode only).
